On October 15, 2009 at the Decatur Mall in Decatur, Alabama, Morgan County Domestic Violence Task Force and Crisis Services of North Alabama are hosting a non-profit march called “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.” This march is to promote education and awareness regarding the prevention of domestic violence for the community and surrounding areas.
Crisis Services of North Alabama is a non-profit organization under IRS codes and this function is strictly for promoting awareness. Because of this, we need assistance from the community to make this event possible and successful. Any donations given by your business will be used a door prizes for the participants in this event. In response to the anonymous msg regarding our cancellation at Ketchup. Management has changed hands since our schedule there was determined. We called Ketchup the afternoon of the show & were informed that new management had no interest in booking BES or any other band in Huntsville. This was a shock to us & despite our efforts to keep the date as scheduled, we were denied just hours before showtime.
Naturally we had very little opportunity to inform everyone of the cancellation & as a result, Ketchup were left explaining themselves to their clientele. Gauging from your response here, it appears that they didn't feel obliged to do so. We apologize & hope that you will visit us again soon at a venue that is more customer/band friendly.

The fact that BES has persisted all of the years is testament to the fact that our audience grows & changes with us. Some simply outgrow us & that's ok. Just please respect the fact that these cool people coming to our shows are no different than you were once upon a time.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I would think that someone as close to the band as you seem to be would encourage people to go see them instead of discouraging them.
I think you may have me confused with someone else. I never been one to cause drama...I'll admit I have been party to drama involving others, and probably behaved in an unbecoming way previously, but I have since remedied my life of those destructive forces.
I can assure you that if my friends (different people than those you are probably referring to) and I do indeed go see BES while we are at the beach, it will be simply to have a few cocktails and listen to some music. No drama here, I promise.

Ooh, burn on me, I guess I'll hang my head in shame on that one.
Truth is, I happened to run into Scott at Walmart the other day. I thought I'd get on here and check out what the band had been up to since I hadn't seen them in a long time. That's when I noticed they'd be playing just down the road from my vacation spot, thought it might be fun to check them out. I mean, the restaurant/bar looks really cool, the menu sounds great...is that not ok with you? I had no idea I would need to get approval or permission first before I went to see them just because I once said I disliked certain aspects of their shows and the local bars they play in. If it will make you happy, I'll make sure we eat dinner downstairs, sit at the very back of the bar, and don't once get up to dance or sing a long.

Gentleman I hope I will never see yall play at the Frontier in Decatur again! Holy Shit, went to see a band play last night there (they sucked) I swear I was waiting for Jerry Springer to give his final thought, never knew so many frickn rednecks could gather in one place, well they do and its at the fricken Frontier. I remember seeing you guys there and J makeing redneck comments, it bothered me at the time (his comments) but now, well I think he was to kind. Well I need to go wash the yeah haw off of me, Happy Holidays, hope to see you in the New Year.
